After being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in 2013 Gerry Collins decided to make his plight into something that would do “something good.” He became the face of a HSE anti-smoking campaign in Ireland.
Gerry’s video has inspired over 100,000 people in Ireland to begin trying to quit smoking, he urges people in his videos to stop smoking if they already do, and to never start if they don’t. He attributes his early death (age 57) entirely to cigarettes.
