When I feel the "need" for a cigarette, I go ride the exercise bike (at work)
for 1.5 minutes (which is about the length of smoking a cigarette). At home there's always
a counter that needs to be wiped, etc. I also carry with me a list of reason why I
want/need to quit, and when I feel the urge, I read that. Also have gum and hard
peppermints hand.
