Decide you are quitting and don’t use the words “trying to quit” any longer. If you are trying you can make excuses but when you commit to quit you can do it! When I quit, I kept an open pack of cigarettes in a drawer because I knew this way I would never get that scared and panicky feeling that I couldn’t have a cigarette (like when a smoker runs out and the store is closed) and instead it always remained my choice to keep the quit. I’m so happy with my decision to quit and I wish I had done it sooner!
